What the park charges on top
The rate above buys you a bed. Matusadona National Park charges its own entry fee for every day you are inside. Here is what that adds up to.
- Park entryThe trust's conservation levy for an international adult.
- $30per person, per day
- VehicleForeign-registered car or 4x4, per day.
- $5per vehicle, per day
Three nights means three days inside, so two adults sharing one vehicle pay $195 in park fees before anyone pays for a bed.
The ZimParks 2026 gazette gives $24 for an international adult, not $30. We use the trust's levy because that is what operators pass on in 2026. Confirm with reservations.matusadona@africanparks.org.
The full fee schedule for Matusadona National ParkRates at Cutty Sark Lodge
Rooms from $125 per couple. Wallace room $125 per couple per night; Moodie units $250 for 4 and $375 for 6; Moore $365 for 8, self-catering (own site, read 24 September 2026). Park fees apply only on the days you visit the park.
It depends which package you book. This camp sells more than one basis, from self-catering up to fully inclusive. The rates note says what each one covers.
Every figure on this page is in US dollars.
Indicative rates read in September 2026 from each property's own website or rate sheet, and where noted from an agent or the VisitKariba directory. Watch the basis: lodges quote per person per night, houseboats per boat per night, and several Kariba town places per room or per unit. Park fees are extra almost everywhere, at $30 per international adult per day on the trust's levy, and houseboats add their own park and lake charges.

Wallace Room is $125 a couple a night. Self-catering units run higher: Moodie 4 at $250, Moodie 6 at $375, and the eight-person Moore Apartment at $365 a night. Willis Room is priced on request. Fisherman's Cove, the whole lodge for sixteen, is $450 a night.

Two hotel-style rooms, Willis and Wallace, each for a couple, plus self-catering apartments: Moodie 4, Moodie 6, the eight-person Moore Apartment, and Fisherman's Cove for up to sixteen. Self-catering units have a fully equipped kitchen and a braai area.
Is Cutty Sark Lodge good for families?
We found no published child policy, so ask when you book. The self-catering Moore Apartment sleeps eight across two double and two twin rooms, and larger groups can take the whole Fisherman's Cove unit, which gives families their own kitchen and space.
Who owns Cutty Sark Lodge?
Not stated. The lodge's own site says it was bought in 2007 and largely renovated by 2022, when new management arrived, but names neither the buyer nor the current managers.
